Job Overview

The Temporary Parts Store Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of spare parts within the store. This includes stock control, inventory management, sourcing parts, and maintaining proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Stock & Inventory Management

• Maintain correct spare parts stock levels
• Organize and manage inventory effectively
• Ensure stock is received, stored, and issued accurately

Procurement & Sourcing

• Source parts from suppliers at the best price and quality
• Control costs while maintaining operational efficiency

Receiving & Issuing Stock

• Receive deliveries and verify invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes
• Issue parts and equipment to artisans

Administration & Reporting

• Capture worksheets and complete job cards
• Maintain ISO documentation and control sheets
• Scan and upload paperwork to Business Central

Operations & Maintenance Support

• Maintain clean and organized storage areas
• Monitor lubricant levels
• Assist with general site duties and housekeeping

Physical & Equipment Handling

• Operate forklift when required
• Perform heavy lifting of parts and equipment
• Travel locally to source parts when needed

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a parts store clerk or similar role
• Code B driver’s license
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical spare parts
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

Advantageous Qualifications

• Certificate in Stock Control
• Forklift experience
• Knowledge of Business Central systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Team player with strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures (PPE)
