About the Role
Sasol is recruiting for Senior Artisan Electro Mechanics (x2) on behalf of a leading global energy and chemicals company based in Secunda.
This role is responsible for ensuring reliable electro-mechanical maintenance and operational stability across plant and mining equipment, supporting production efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical maintenance on plant and mining equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance systems (IMS, MBO, etc.)
- Interpret maintenance documentation and execute planned work
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide feedback on maintenance activities and system performance
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to waste disposal procedures
- Support team operations, including daily meetings and reporting
- Mentor junior artisans and contribute to skills development
- Assist in developing work instructions and maintenance strategies
- Ensure accurate maintenance history and reporting
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 / N3 with Mathematics and Engineering Science
- Trade Test Certificate – Electro Mechanic
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years relevant experience in plant or mining environment
