About the Role

Phakisa is recruiting for a skilled Scaffolder to join a dynamic construction team based in Johannesburg Central.

This role is critical in supporting civil engineering projects by ensuring the safe erection, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures across various sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently
• Assemble and secure scaffolding components according to standards
• Inspect scaffolding for safety, stability, and compliance
• Work closely with construction teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain scaffolding equipment and tools
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements

Certifications (Essential)

• Working at Heights – Unit Standard 229998
• Scaffold Erector – Unit Standard 263245
• Confined Space – Unit Standard 15034

Experience

• Proven experience as a Scaffolder / Scaffold Hand
• Background in Construction, Engineering, or related field

• Strong understanding of scaffolding safety standards
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and safety compliance
• Physically fit and able to work on-site
