 Overview

Transnet Pipelines is recruiting 3 Regional Security Operations Specialists to manage and strengthen security operations across Mpumalanga, North West, and Free State.

This role focuses on:

• Protecting critical infrastructure
• Reducing theft, sabotage, and vandalism
• Managing security service providers
• Driving operational security strategy

 Position Purpose

To oversee and manage regional security operations, ensuring effective planning, deployment, and monitoring of security measures to protect Transnet Pipeline assets and mitigate risks.

 Locations

Successful candidates will be placed in:

• Witbank (Mpumalanga)
• Klerksdorp (North West)
• Sasolburg (Free State)

 Key Responsibilities

• Manage regional security operations and planning
• Oversee security service providers & contracts
• Monitor security incidents and risk mitigation strategies
• Lead resource deployment and operational coordination
• Conduct stakeholder engagement (SAPS, agencies, suppliers)
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide security intelligence and insights
• Plan and oversee joint security operations
• Ensure compliance with security policies and legislation

 Advanced Duties

• Develop and deliver security training programmes
• Analyse crime trends and threats
• Support investigations and prosecutions
• Participate in Provincial Operational Command Centre (POCC)
• Contribute to business continuity and crisis management plans
• Manage budget and resource allocation

 Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma in Security Management / Policing / Criminology / Criminal Justice
• PSIRA Grade A Registration
• 5–8 years’ experience in security operations
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role
• Firearm training certification (SASSETA accredited)
• Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
• Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours
