 About the Role

Mediclinic Panorama is seeking a Professional Nurse Specialised in Emergency Care to deliver safe, high-quality nursing services within a fast-paced emergency centre environment.

 Main Purpose of the Job

To provide comprehensive, safe, and quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice, while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Create a positive patient experience and care environment
• Maintain accurate and detailed nursing records
• Support staff development and learning within the unit
• Ensure correct usage and charging of stock and medical equipment

 Minimum Requirements

Essential Education:

• Degree / Diploma in General Nursing

Desired Education:

• Midwifery qualification
• Postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty

 Experience

• Essential: None required
• Preferred: 1 year post-graduate experience in a specialised unit

 Skills & Competencies

• Infection prevention and control
• Pharmacology knowledge
• Patient assessment skills
• Nursing procedures and processes
• Record keeping and documentation
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to develop and modify care plans
• Knowledge of nursing legislation
• Basic life support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS advantageous)
• Risk identification and management
