About the Role
Sasol is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Foreman to join its Secunda Operations team. This role is responsible for frontline leadership, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance and operational performance while developing team capability.

To provide first-line leadership and manage a team to deliver results across:

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, control, and manage maintenance and operational activities
- Ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks and optimal equipment usage
- Lead and manage team performance, discipline, and development
- Oversee shutdowns, start-ups, and maintenance planning
- Ensure compliance with SHERQ, safety standards, and company policies
- Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis (RCA), and deviation analysis (PDA)
- Manage work permits and safety procedures
- Drive continuous improvement and equipment effectiveness
- Support change management and team development initiatives
- Facilitate communication across teams and departments
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- National Senior Certificate / N3 (Maths, English, Physical Science)
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (Red Seal)
Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years in petrochemical or refinery environment
- Strong experience in shutdowns and turnarounds
- At least 3+ years supervisory/foreman experience
- Experience with maintenance systems (e.g., SAP PM)
- Ability to interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings
