About the Role
This position supports the Mechanical Maintenance team by ensuring equipment reliability, effective maintenance, and adherence to safety standards to maintain plant stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply and maintain safe working practices
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs
- Perform plant inspections to ensure equipment reliability
- Identify faults and support corrective actions
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and risk assessments
- Follow maintenance plans and complete assigned work
- Provide feedback to supervisors and stakeholders
- Maintain good housekeeping and waste management practices
- Conduct IMS inspections to improve plant sustainability
- Participate in:
- Toolbox talks
- Safety meetings
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Support team goals and meet operational deadlines
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Matric / N3 with:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- English
- CHIETA NQF Level 2 (Mechanical)
- CHIETA NQF Level 4 (Advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 1+ year relevant experience
Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License
