About the Role
This role focuses on equipment reliability, maintenance, and vibration monitoring, ensuring optimal plant performance while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on instrumentation and vibration monitoring equipment
- Conduct fault finding, inspections, and calibration
- Perform loop checks, alarm and trip checks
- Implement equipment upgrades and modifications
- Ensure continuous equipment availability and reliability
- Monitor and maintain SHE compliance and safety standards
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and risk assessments
- Support maintenance strategy and plant optimisation initiatives
- Interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
- Provide feedback on work progress and system improvements
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to waste disposal procedures
- Mentor junior artisans and support team development
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 / N3 with:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- English
- Trade Test: Instrumentation Red Seal (CHIETA/MQA preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience
Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Instrumentation & vibration monitoring systems
- Trip & alarm systems
- Basic knowledge of DCS, PLC, FSC systems
- Intrinsic safety standards
- Process safety equipment
