Overview
Sasol is looking for a qualified Learning Practitioner II (Millwright) to support workforce development through training, assessment, and skills development within a technical environment.
Purpose of the Role
To identify learning needs, design and deliver training programmes, and facilitate assessments for employees (including 18.1 and 18.2 learners) in alignment with Sasol’s learning strategy, policies, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Needs & Programme Development
- Conduct gap analysis to identify skills shortages
- Develop and implement learning interventions
- Align training solutions with business and legislative requirements
Training & Facilitation
- Deliver training using various learning methodologies
- Facilitate both face-to-face and virtual training sessions
- Guide learners to apply practical skills in the workplace
Assessment & Moderation
- Conduct assessments in line with qualification standards
- Act as assessor/moderator when required
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and QA requirements
Learning Management & Evaluation
- Develop structured learning plans aligned to 70:20:10 principles
- Monitor learner progress and performance
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements
Learner Support & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support learners throughout training programmes
- Assist line managers with competency assessments
- Handle learner discipline processes when required
Administration & Systems
- Maintain learning dashboards and reports
- Update and manage training materials
- Process material orders via SAP systems
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Millwright Trade Certificate (Required)
- Generic Assessor Certificate (Required)
Advantageous:
- ODETDP Certificate
- MQA Accredited Assessor / Moderator
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience as an Artisan (Millwright)
- Experience in:
- Training and facilitation
- Assessment and moderation
- Technical/industrial environments
