 Overview

DSV is looking for a results-driven Branch Manager – Operations (Road) to lead and manage branch operations, staff, and client relationships. This leadership role is focused on driving operational excellence, profitability, and service delivery in a fast-paced logistics environment.

 Role Purpose

To manage all branch resources, ensuring efficient operations, financial performance, and client satisfaction, while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.

 Key Responsibilities

 Operations & Performance Management

• Oversee daily branch operations and service delivery
• Ensure optimal use of resources to meet performance targets
• Monitor operational efficiency and productivity
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems

 Financial & Budget Management

• Manage branch revenue, costs, and profitability
• Ensure delivery on budget and gross profit targets
• Identify business risks and growth opportunities

 People Management

• Lead, motivate, and develop staff
• Manage performance, training, and team growth
• Handle industrial relations matters (disciplinary processes)

 Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Resolve customer complaints and improve service delivery

 Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and company standards
• Oversee Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental (QSHE) systems
• Ensure all transport operations meet regulatory requirements

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, or Business Management

 Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ management experience
• Experience in:
  • Logistics & transport operations
  • Warehousing and project management
  • Customer relationship management
  • Courier operations
• At least 3 years’ budgeting and financial control experience

 Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Willingness to travel within South Africa
• Strong knowledge of LRA & BCEA and industrial relations
