About the Role
Sasol is hiring a Foreman within its Mining division in Secunda.
This role is ideal for experienced candidates in engineering maintenance and mining operations who are ready to lead teams and drive production performance.
Job Purpose
To oversee engineering maintenance processes and ensure mining teams achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards (QCDSM principles).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering maintenance strategies and daily operations
- Ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime
- Control maintenance budgets and costs
- Implement engineering SOPs and ensure compliance
- Conduct failure analysis and predictive maintenance
- Oversee condition monitoring programs
- Support production targets through planning and coordination
- Ensure SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) compliance
- Lead, train, and develop engineering teams
- Manage staff performance, absenteeism, and engagement
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate / N3 / NCV Level 4
- Mathematics & Physical/Engineering Science
- Business English
- Trade Qualification (Electro-Mechanic)
Experience Required
- Minimum 6+ years relevant experience in:
- Engineering
- Mining operations
- Maintenance environments
