 About the Programme

Eskom is offering 15 Youth Employment Service (YES) opportunities for unemployed youth.

This initiative, led by the Presidency, aims to give young South Africans valuable work experience and a chance to enter the job market.

 Programme Purpose

To provide unemployed youth with practical workplace experience in the energy sector through a structured 12-month contract.

 Key Responsibilities

• Participate in workplace activities and training
• Support operations within Eskom divisions
• Gain exposure to administrative and business processes

 Minimum Requirements

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Age: 18 – 34 years
• Grade 12 / Matric

 Important Eligibility Criteria

• Must NOT have permanent work experience of more than 1 year
• Must NOT be studying full-time in 2026
• Must NOT have participated in the YES programme before
