 Overview

Two Rivers Platinum is looking for a skilled Mining Foreman to optimise mining operations, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with mining legislation while exceeding production targets.

 Purpose of the Role

To enhance mining performance by improving operational practices, reducing costs, and ensuring full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and Minerals Act.

 Key Responsibilities

 Production & Operations

• Plan and monitor daily and weekly production targets
• Control equipment distribution and utilisation
• Monitor labour usage and shift performance
• Ensure budget targets are met

 Maintenance & Efficiency

• Monitor and follow up on breakdowns
• Promote use of reclaimed equipment and materials
• Control overtime, standby, and shift schedules

 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements
• Conduct health and safety meetings
• Lead accident and incident investigations
• Inspect underground conditions and enforce corrective actions

 Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise teams and enforce discipline where required
• Liaise with departments regarding operational needs
• Support operational planning processes

 Administration & Governance

• Maintain legal and operational records
• Review and sign off supervisor logbooks
• Ensure systems and governance practices are in place

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
• Blasting Certificate (Scheduled Mines)
• Mine Overseer’s Certificate (Required)
• Valid Driver’s Licence

 Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in trackless board and pillar mining
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory role

 Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act and Minerals Act
• Industrial relations knowledge
• Risk identification and problem-solving
• Leadership and team management
• Computer literacy
• First Aid Certification (Advantageous)

 Additional Requirements

• Medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act
• Willing to undergo assessments, credit, and criminal checks
• Ability to work Conops system
