ABOUT THE BURSARY
The Sibona Ilanga Trust is a community trust that owns shares in the De Aar Solar Power Plant, benefiting communities within a 50km radius.

The Trust aims to empower individuals by providing opportunities to further their education and achieve their dreams.

WHO CAN APPLY?
• South African citizens
• Residents within a 50km radius of De Aar
• Accepted at a recognised public/private tertiary institution (University, TVET, or University of Technology)
• Students pursuing NQF Level 6 programmes (technical, diploma, or degree)
• Applicants who completed NSC/NTC in previous years may apply
• Applications must be fully completed with supporting documents

FIELDS OF STUDY
• Technical skills (plumbing, bricklaying, etc.)
• Training programmes
• Diplomas & Degrees (NQF Level 6 and above)

WHAT THE BURSARY COVERS
• Tuition, registration & exam fees
• Accommodation
• Meals
• Learning materials (books & stationery)

SELECTION CRITERIA
• Academic performance (Grade 12 or latest results)
• Financial need (must demonstrate lack of funding)
