The Royal Bafokeng Institute (RBI) Student Loan Programme provides financial support to eligible students pursuing undergraduate studies in North West and Gauteng.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Applicants must:
Be a South African citizen and Royal Bafokeng Nation member
Demonstrate financial need
Apply for NSFAS (or submit proof within 7 days of opening)
Have an AP score of 30+ (excluding Life Orientation)
Be accepted at a public university in North West or Gauteng

Health Sciences (excluding BSc Medical Science & Acupuncture)
BCom (Accountancy & Auditing only)
*B.Ed (NWU only – Akanyang Centre, Phokeng)
Foundation Phase
Senior/FET Phase (Maths required + approved subjects)

Social Work (only)
Fine Arts (only at Universities of Technology)
Engineering
LLB (Law)
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Certified ID copy
Grade 11/12 results
Final matric results (if available)
Proof of NSFAS application
Academic transcript (if already studying)
Recommendation letter from Kgosana
Parent/guardian proof of income or affidavit
University acceptance letter (required before final approval)
