About the Scholarship

The WENOSA Scholarship Programme supports academically strong South African women in their final year of study. It aims to accelerate female participation in critical skills sectors by providing targeted tuition support to help students complete their qualifications.

What the Scholarship Covers

  • Up to R50,000 tuition support

  • Paid directly to the university

  • Covers verified outstanding tuition fees

Who Can Apply

  • Female South African citizens

  • Registered at a recognised public university

  • Final-year undergraduate, Honours, Master’s or PhD student (2026)

  • Minimum 65% academic average

  • Must demonstrate financial need, leadership potential, and community involvement

Priority Fields

Preference is given to students in:

  • Engineering & Built Environment

  • Information & Digital Technologies

  • Mathematical Sciences

  • Financial Sciences

  • Legal Studies

  • Environmental Sciences

  • Agricultural Sciences & Agribusiness

  • Mining, Energy & Industrial Sciences

  • Logistics & Supply Chain

  • Health & Biomedical Sciences

  • Water Sciences & Infrastructure

  • Research & Innovation

Required Documents

  • Certified South African ID

  • Full academic transcript

  • Proof of registration (2026)

  • Updated CV

  • Latest university fee statement

  • Proof of existing funding (if applicable)

Selection Criteria

  • Academic performance (minimum 65%)

  • Financial need

  • Leadership potential

  • Community involvement

  • Limited to 25 scholarships available

  • Applications must be complete to be considered

  • Late applications will not be accepted

  • Successful applicants will be notified by 1 October 2026
