ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Imfundo Trust is an Old Mutual Investment Group initiative aimed at developing future leaders in the investments industry.
Since 2011, the Trust has supported talented South African students—especially black students and women—by providing access to higher education and promoting transformation within the financial sector.
WHO CAN APPLY?
• South African citizens
• Students entering 1st or 2nd year in 2027
• Strong academic performance
• Preference for students from rural and township backgrounds
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 applicants:
• Minimum 70% overall average
• At least 70% in Mathematics
• At least 70% English FAL or 60% English HL
First-year students:
• Minimum 65% average in latest results
FIELDS OF STUDY
• Business, Commerce, Finance & Management
• Computer Science & related fields
• Data Science
• Engineering
• Climate Studies (Postgraduate only)
WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS
• Full-time study funding
• Undergraduate & selected postgraduate degrees
• Study at selected South African universities
SELECTION PROCESS
• Shortlisting based on academic performance
• Interviews with selected candidates
• Final selection by Board of Trustees
IMPORTANT NOTES
• Preference given to disadvantaged backgrounds
• Scholarship may be adjusted if other funding is received
• Only complete applications will be considered
