This is a high-impact executive finance role supporting the CFO and driving strategic financial initiatives within Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM).

 Position Purpose

• Lead the Strategic Finance Projects Office
• Provide execution capacity and advisory support to the CFO
• Drive financial sustainability and rail reform initiatives
• Oversee finance transformation, PPP projects, and funding pipelines

 Key Responsibilities

 Executive Support

• Provide financial analysis for Board and Exco decisions
• Prepare executive presentations and reports
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO

 PPP / PSP Transactions

• Lead financial structuring for PPPs and concessions
• Develop financial models (NPV, IRR, DCF)
• Manage investors, lenders, and advisors

 Infrastructure Funding (BFI)

• Manage funding applications to National Treasury
• Track budgets, compliance, and reporting
• Oversee drawdowns and expenditure

 Cost & Revenue Strategy

• Drive cost optimisation initiatives
• Identify new revenue streams
• Benchmark performance against industry

 Finance Systems & Digitisation

• Lead SAP S/4HANA transformation
• Implement automation, analytics, and AI
• Improve data-driven decision-making

 Leadership & Governance

• Lead a high-performance finance team
• Ensure compliance with PFMA and regulations
• Manage risks and governance frameworks

 Qualifications

• CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, MBA or Masters in Finance

 Experience Required

• 10–12 years in finance
• 5+ years at senior management level
• Experience in:
  • PPP / project finance (advantageous)
  • Government funding processes (BFI, Treasury)
  • Finance systems transformation (SAP, analytics)
