 Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage the full condition monitoring programme for rotating equipment, ensuring early fault detection, improved reliability, and optimal asset performance. The role also provides technical expertise in vibration monitoring, machinery protection, and real-time equipment diagnostics.

 Key Responsibilities

 Maintenance & Technical Leadership

  • Lead predictive and proactive maintenance programmes
  • Standardise condition monitoring processes and reporting
  • Provide expertise in vibration systems and machinery protection
  • Monitor anti-surge and overspeed protection systems
  • Analyse data to detect early-stage equipment faults
  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)

 Budgeting & Commercial Management

  • Manage OPEX budget and track performance
  • Contribute to CAPEX planning and asset upgrades
  • Oversee inventory, spares, and contractor performance
  • Ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions

 Systems & Reporting

  • Use SAP PM for planning, work orders, and reporting
  • Drive adoption of real-time asset monitoring systems
  • Manage oil analysis programmes
  • Conduct audits and ensure data quality compliance

 Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise and coach condition monitoring artisans
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations, and maintenance teams
  • Provide training and mentorship
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships

 Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure SHE compliance and safe work practices
  • Apply risk management to critical equipment
  • Maintain visibility of operational risks

 Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) + 10+ years experience
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 6+ years experience
    OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma (Preferred)
