About the Role
Sasol is seeking a Management Accountant to ensure strong financial management, reporting accuracy, and business decision support within the business unit. This role plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Purpose of the Job
To deliver accurate financial reporting and insights, support cost centre managers, and contribute to effective financial decision-making within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports
- Analyse variances and provide insights
- Maintain general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure correct cost allocations and journal entries
- Process cost recoveries and invoicing
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support cost centre managers with budgets
- Prepare and analyse financial forecasts
- Update SAP with budget data
- Perform variance analysis vs budget and prior year
- Deliver accurate cash flow forecasts
Year-End Activities
- Ensure accurate accruals and provisions
- Prepare financial disclosure schedules
- Conduct analytical reviews
- Ensure compliance with reporting timelines
General Duties
- Maintain SAP master data
- Provide financial training to stakeholders
- Handle ad-hoc financial requests
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and governance standards
Minimum Requirements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Management Accounting
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience
