Job Details
- Job Title: General Worker
- Business Unit (OME): Secunda Operations (EOP)
- Location: Secunda, Mpumalanga, South Africa
- Experience Level: Entry Level (1+ years)
- Driver’s Licence: Required (Code EB / EC1 advantageous)
Purpose of the Role
To support continuous plant availability through effective maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of HVAC systems and related equipment within Sasol’s Secunda Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Assist with maintenance of HVAC and related equipment
- Clean and wash HVAC units, filters, and cooling towers
- Perform sanding and painting of equipment
- Support general upkeep of plant infrastructure
Housekeeping & Support
- Clean storerooms, plant rooms, and HVAC yards
- Maintain safe and tidy working environments
- Carry tools and equipment within allowable limits
- Operate mobile WAP high-pressure machines
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to safety procedures and SHE standards
- Ensure proper handling of equipment and tools
- Support compliance with operational protocols
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate / N3 (with English)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous for EB / EC1)
Experience Required
- Minimum 1+ year relevant experience in mechanical or industrial environments
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Exposure to plant, maintenance, or technical environments (advantageous)
