Job Purpose
To manage and coordinate the IT infrastructure supporting all security systems, ensuring efficient operation, compliance, and support across Sasol’s business. This includes systems such as CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and online monitoring platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Management & Maintenance
- Oversee daily operations of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Ensure systems are functional, updated, and compliant
- Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance
2. IT Infrastructure Coordination
- Manage network infrastructure (servers, switches, storage)
- Collaborate with IT teams for system integration and cybersecurity
- Troubleshoot system-related issues
3. Project Coordination
- Support and lead implementation of new technologies
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintain system documentation and configurations
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations (e.g. POPIA, GDPR)
- Generate reports on system performance and incidents
- Support audits and investigations
5. User Support & Training
- Provide technical support to users
- Train staff on systems and procedures
- Develop SOPs and user guides
Qualifications
- National Diploma in IT, Electronic Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in CCTV, alarm systems, access control (advantageous)
- PSIRA Grade A (advantageous)
- NKP Accreditation (advantageous)
- Firearm Competency for Business Purposes (advantageous)
Experience Required
- 3–5 years’ experience in security technology / IT systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in investigation methodologies and digital forensics
