Moosas Group is seeking experienced and professional Code 14 Drivers to join our Container Division. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service in transporting heavy goods.

 Job Details

• Department: Container Division (FCL/REFER)
• Job Type: Permanent
• Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
• Nationality: South African
• Minimum Education: Grade 12

 Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s Licence
• Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
• Experience with Superlink / Interlink / Combination vehicles (advantageous)
• Medically fit (accredited medical certificate required)
• No criminal record
• Willing to work overtime, night shifts, weekends & public holidays
• Own reliable transport to and from work

 Key Responsibilities

 Driving & Vehicle Operations

• Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles (trucks, tankers, trailers)
• Ensure full compliance with road safety and traffic regulations
• Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles

 Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections (tyres, brakes, lights, fluids)
• Report defects and faults promptly
• Perform minor on-site repairs when necessary

 Loading & Offloading

• Safely load and secure cargo
• Assist or supervise offloading at delivery points
• Ensure compliance with legal weight regulations

 Documentation & Administration

• Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records
• Handle delivery documentation and ensure proper sign-off
• Complete incident and accident reports when required

 Customer Service

• Maintain a professional image when interacting with clients
• Ensure timely and efficient deliveries

 Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
• Respond effectively to emergencies and breakdowns
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations (if applicable)

 Route Planning & Navigation

• Plan efficient routes to reduce travel time and fuel usage
• Use GPS and navigation tools effectively

 Teamwork & Flexibility

• Communicate with supervisors, controllers, and team members
• Adapt to changing schedules and operational demands
