 Purpose of the Role

To operate plant equipment, systems, and processes within a specific unit to meet production targets safely and efficiently. The role ensures smooth plant operations while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first-line fault finding on plant equipment
  • Execute tasks assigned by the Foreman
  • Conduct plant inspections and record logs
  • Work with Work Management & Permit-to-Work systems
  • Report unsafe conditions and at-risk behavior
  • Follow safety procedures and work standards
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety improvements
  • Maintain housekeeping and waste disposal standards
  • Provide feedback on work progress
  • Operate independently and as part of a team
  • Support plant operations during emergencies
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety discussions

 Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Matric or N3 with Pure Maths, English, Physical Science
  • NQF Level 2–4 Chemical Operations or CPO qualification

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years in plant operations
  • Panel operation experience advantageous

Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License
