 Overview

Sasol is seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Operator (CPO) to join its Secunda Operations team. This role focuses on coordinating maintenance, troubleshooting plant systems, and ensuring safe, efficient production processes.

 Purpose of the Role

To coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services within a production line through control panel management and advanced troubleshooting.

 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report work progress to supervisors
• Participate in risk assessments and safety procedures
• Maintain housekeeping and waste management standards
• Operate independently and within a team
• Participate in shift handovers
• Conduct on-the-job coaching for learners
• Perform plant inspections to improve sustainability
• Support emergency response to restore plant operations
• Contribute to safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Identify training and development needs

 Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Grade 12 / N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science & English
• NQF Level 4 or 5

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience
