About the Role
Sasol is seeking a skilled Artisan Electrician (Gr 2) to support production by ensuring equipment reliability, maintenance, and operational stability. This role is critical in maintaining safe and efficient plant performance.
Purpose of the Job
To provide effective electrical maintenance and reliability support to plant operations while adhering to safety standards, procedures, and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems
- Participate in shift handovers and provide progress feedback
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and support corrective actions
- Participate in risk assessments to improve safety compliance
- Maintain housekeeping and follow waste management procedures
- Work independently while meeting operational KPIs
- Provide coaching and on-the-job training to learners
- Conduct equipment inspections to improve plant sustainability
- Participate in emergency response to restore plant operations
- Engage with stakeholders and contribute to safety discussions
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Matric / N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
- Electrical Trade Certificate (Red Seal)
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience
Other:
- Driver’s License
