ABOUT THE BURSARY
The Schauenburg Education Trust provides bursaries to students pursuing scarce skills qualifications, helping to develop highly skilled professionals for South Africa’s future workforce.
FIELDS OF STUDY
• Electrical & Electronic Engineering (BEng / BSc)
• Business Management (BCom)
• Business Administration (BCom)
WHO CAN APPLY?
• Black South African citizens (BBBEE criteria)
• Students in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year (2026)
• Must be progressing to 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in 2027
• Must have passed all registered university courses
• Must demonstrate strong academic performance
Preference given to:
• Black women
• Students under 35
• Students with disabilities

• University of Pretoria
• University of Johannesburg
• North-West University (Vanderbijlpark)
• University of the Witwatersrand
WHAT THE BURSARY COVERS
✔ 100% tuition, registration & exam fees
✔ Accommodation (residence equivalent)
✔ Textbooks & study materials
✔ Living allowance
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willing to attend interviews & psychometric testing
• Must complete vacation work (minimum 3 weeks) at Schauenburg Systems
IMPORTANT NOTES
• No bursaries for Universities of Technology or Colleges
• Applicants must not hold another bursary
• Funding is subject to academic performance and conduct
