AGSA / Solarpop Bursary Programme

African Global Skills Academy (AGSA), in partnership with Solarpop, is inviting eligible South African students to register for the Solarpop Bursary Programme.

The current AGSA application portal is open for registrations and requires applicants to submit their personal, academic and financial information together with supporting documents.

Who Can Apply?

The current AGSA application form requires applicants to:

• Be South African citizens
• Have completed Matric
• Be registered at a recognised South African college or university
• Provide a valid South African ID
• Provide proof of current registration
• Provide their latest academic transcript
• Provide their latest financial statement from their college or university
• Submit a motivational letter
• Have a CV

The official application form specifically states that AGSA cannot assist people who are not South African citizens.

Previous-cycle eligibility information

Previous AGSA/Solarpop bursary listings reported additional criteria including:

• Applicants aged between 18 and 35 years
• Applicants being African, Coloured or Indian

Applicants are asked to select the province in which they would like to work:

• Limpopo
• Mpumalanga
• Gauteng
• Western Cape

1. Certified copy of South African ID Book/Card
   • Certification must be less than 6 months old.

2. Updated CV

3. Certified copy of Matric Certificate
   • Certification must be less than 6 months old.
4. Certified Proof of Registration
   • Must be from a recognised South African college or university.

5. Certified Latest Academic Transcript
   • Certification must be less than 6 months old.
   • AGSA states that a letter explaining why the transcript is unavailable may also be accepted.
6. Certified Latest Financial Statement
   • Must be from the applicant’s college or university.

7. Motivational Letter

The official application page states that applicants can take clear photographs of their documents, provided the documents are clearly visible and not obscured.
