 About the Opportunity

A leading mining group is seeking a technically strong Superintendent: Group Financial Reporting to join its Group Finance function.

This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with solid experience in:

• Group consolidation

• IFRS Accounting Standards

• Technical accounting

• Financial modelling

• Listed corporate reporting

The successful candidate will gain exposure to group-level reporting, acquisitions, and strategic financial analysis within a dynamic mining environment.

 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly group consolidation packs

• Process consolidation journals and perform pre-reporting system checks

• Prepare subsidiary financial statements aligned with IFRS and Group policies

• Develop financial models (DCF, impairment testing, rehabilitation provisions)

• Support life-of-mine model reviews and WACC calculations

• Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters

• Prepare technical accounting memorandums

• Assist with acquisition accounting (PPA and integration processes)

• Compile consolidated financial reports and segment analysis

• Liaise with external auditors during audit processes

• Drive automation and continuous improvement in reporting systems

 Minimum Requirements

• NQF 8 qualification in Accounting (Postgraduate Diploma / Honours or equivalent)

• Qualified CA(SA) registered with SAICA

• Minimum 2 years’ post-articles experience in group financial reporting or technical accounting

• Experience in a large listed entity environment (Mining advantageous)

• Exposure to SOX-compliant environments advantageous

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation accounting

• Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills
