 Key Responsibilities

 Data & Analytics

  • Gather and prepare data for modelling and analytics

  • Perform data manipulation, transformation, normalisation & visualisation

  • Apply advanced statistical, mathematical & simulation techniques

  • Develop predictive models to improve business outcomes

  • Identify trends, correlations & insights within large datasets

  • Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

 Machine Learning & Modelling

  • Build and support machine learning models

  • Code, test and maintain algorithms

  • Use tools such as Python, R (and exposure to Matlab/Java advantageous)

  • Work with distributed platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, HDFS)

  • Support automation and productionalisation of modelling solutions

 Collaboration & Business Integration

  • Liaise with Data Science Guild and internal stakeholders

  • Translate business requirements into data science solutions

  • Support model integration into production systems

  • Present insights and recommendations to teams

 Qualifications Required

Completed or currently enrolled in Honours or Master’s degree in:

  • Data Science / Analytics

  • Statistics

  • Computer Science

  • Applied Mathematics

  • Quantitative Risk Management

  • Engineering (Computer, Industrial, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Chemical)

 Honours (or equivalent 4-year degree) must be completed by 31 December 2026.

 Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen

  • Maximum 24 months work experience

  • Minimum 70% average (3rd year undergraduate)

  • Minimum 65% average (Honours / 4th year / Master’s)

  • Matric certificate required

  • Full academic transcripts required (undergraduate & postgraduate)

  • Submit original electronic PDF (non-scanned) documents
