Job Overview
Nedbank Insurance is seeking a Personal Claims Consultant (HOC) to provide efficient and accurate claims administration within the short-term insurance environment.
The role focuses on managing claims from initiation to finalisation, ensuring compliance with policies, delivering excellent client service, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Administration
-
Administer and manage the claims process in line with SLAs and claims protocols.

Initiate and process claims through to finalisation.

Ensure claims are handled accurately and within agreed timeframes.
Risk & Compliance
-
Monitor and report on claims trends to reduce risk.

Ensure compliance with insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

Stay updated on industry legislation and changes.
Client & Stakeholder Management
-
Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service delivery.

Understand and support client insurance needs.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and policies.

Support implementation of operational improvements.

Share knowledge within the team to improve performance.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
Matric / Grade 12
-
Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF Level 4)

Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF Level 5) – Preferred
Experience
-
3 – 5 years experience in the Short-Term Insurance Industry
-
Experience in Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines
-
Non-negotiable: HOC (Non-Motor Claims experience)
