 Purpose of the Job

The Laundry Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and delivering items while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

 Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, etc.)
• Sort and prepare laundry by type and colour
• Load, wash, and dry laundry using correct cycles
• Fold, hang, and package cleaned items
• Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
• Provide excellent customer service
• Handle physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing, bending, etc.)

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / N3 or equivalent

 Experience Required

• Minimum 2+ years experience in an explosives environment
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is advantageous

• Knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies

 Work Environment

• Industrial plant environment
• Handling PPE and materials requiring laundry services
• Physically demanding role involving lifting (up to ±25kg) and long periods of standing
