Overview
Kumba Iron Ore is offering an exciting opportunity for a Learning Delivery (LD) Supervisor – Processing to supervise the learning delivery function and provide governance, technical guidance, and administrative support to Learning Delivery Officers and facilitators.
This role supports the company’s vision to “re-imagine mining to improve people’s lives” by ensuring effective, compliant, and high-quality learning delivery within processing operations.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Responsibilities

Apply and reinforce safety and health principles in all learner interactions
-
Monitor and manage critical risk controls within the work area
-
Conduct safety checks, audits, coaching, and interventions
-
Compile safety reports and KPI analyses
-
Support internal and external site safety audits and regulatory visits
-
Ensure compliance with site safety systems and induction requirements
Key Responsibilities
Learning Needs Analysis & Development
-
Identify operational learning needs
-
Contribute to development of new learning programmes
-
Stay updated on modern learning delivery techniques
Planning, Scheduling & Delivery
-
Conduct monthly planning and weekly scheduling meetings
-
Supervise training shift activities and monitor attendance
-
Liaise with operational managers to align training to standards
Learning Personnel Management
-
Provide guidance, support, and resources for programme delivery
-
Oversee performance and development of learning personnel
-
Ensure effective administration and reporting
Stakeholder & Quality Management
-
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
-
Prepare documentation for audits and ensure QMS compliance
-
Moderate assessments according to QMS requirements
-
Ensure competency-based learning manuals aligned to standards
People & Team Development
-
Drive succession planning and talent growth
-
Promote teamwork and performance capability
-
Support implementation of personal development plans
Minimum Qualifications
-
Grade 12
-
OD ETDP Qualification (NQF Level 5)
-
Minerals Processing Qualification (Minimum NQF Level 2)
-
Assessor/Moderator accreditation with MQA
-
SA Driver’s License (Code EB)
Advantageous:

Analytical Laboratory Skills Programme
Experience & Technical Knowledge

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plant training environment

Knowledge of Mining & Skills Development legislation

Understanding of the Processing value chain
-
Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., SuccessFactors LMS)
-
Strong knowledge of learning methods and evaluation models
-
MS Office proficiency
-
Understanding of ethical and confidentiality standards in training

Project and resource management skills
