Purpose of the Role
To operate, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and machinery while carrying out routine and specialised electrical tasks in line with strict safety and operational standards to achieve performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Operations

Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment
-
Troubleshoot and resolve technical electrical faults
-
Conduct inspections to ensure equipment reliability
-
Participate in root cause analyses (RCA)
-
Conduct IMS inspections to improve plant sustainability
Safety & Compliance
-
Participate in risk assessments according to legislation
-
Apply and maintain safety standards in the workplace
-
Adhere to waste disposal and housekeeping procedures
-
Play a key role during emergency situations
-
Contribute during toolbox talks to improve plant safety
Teamwork & Leadership
-
Participate in shift handover meetings
-
Provide feedback to supervisors on work progress
-
Conduct on-the-job coaching for learners
-
Lead by example in daily operations
-
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Continuous Improvement

Identify improvement opportunities in work area

Improve practices and equipment reliability
-
Contribute to training module development
-
Identify personal development needs and update PDP
Minimum Qualifications
✔ National Senior Certificate / N3 with Mathematics, English & Physical Science
✔ Red Seal Electrical Trade Certificate (Essential)
✔ Valid Driver’s Licence
Experience Required
✔ Minimum 4+ years relevant electrical experience in an industrial environment
