About the VKB Group Bursary

VKB Group is inviting motivated students with strong academic records to apply for its 2027 bursary opportunity.

VKB is a South African agricultural enterprise with operations across various parts of the food value chain, as well as disciplines including finance, human resources, IT, marketing, legal, procurement, logistics and business services.

Through its bursary programme, VKB aims to support students who have the potential to contribute to the company’s future and the broader agricultural industry.

The bursary is aimed at students pursuing Risk Management and related qualifications.

What Is on Offer?

VKB Group is inviting applications for a bursary for students studying towards relevant qualifications in the risk management and related fields.

The January 2027 intake is applicable.

Eligible Qualifications

Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited South African tertiary institution and studying towards one of the following qualifications:

• BSc in Quantitative Risk Management
• BCom in Management Accountancy
• BCom in Economic Sciences with Agricultural Economics and Risk Management
• BCom in Economic Sciences with Risk Management

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
• Be studying towards one of the listed eligible qualifications.
• Have completed their first year at a tertiary institution.
• Submit their full academic record/results.

Additional Requirements

Successful applicants should be willing to:

Complete Vacation Work

Students must be willing to complete vacation work at one of VKB’s regional head offices.

Relocate After Studies

Applicants must be willing to relocate after completing their studies for potential employment or work-back obligations.

Language Requirements

Applicants must be fluent in:

• English
• Afrikaans

Both spoken and written fluency are required.
