About the Bursary
SANTS is offering a bursary draw for student teachers enrolled in selected teaching programmes.
The initiative aims to support students studying education by providing bursaries and learning devices to assist them during their studies.
What the Programme Offers
The draw will award:
5 Bursaries
and
5 Tablets
Winners can receive either a bursary or a tablet, not both.
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary covers one academic semester only, including:

Tuition fees

Study materials
-
Assignments
-
Examinations
-
Academic support services
Eligible Study Programmes
Students enrolled in the following programmes can qualify:

Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education
-
Diploma in Grade R Teaching
-
Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching
-
Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase Teaching
Who Can Enter the Draw
New Applicants
Applicants must:

Submit a completed online application by 30 June 2026

Pay the non-refundable application fee before the closing date

Meet the minimum admission requirements

Select preferred language and material delivery options on MySANTS
-
Submit the required options online
-
Pay the registration fee before the closing date
Existing Students
Students must:
-
Be registered in one of the eligible teaching programmes
-
Have their student account fully paid and up to date
-
Meet all requirements by 30 June 2026
Important Conditions

The bursary is not transferable
-
The bursary cannot be deferred
-
The bursary will be cancelled if false information was provided
-
Students who withdraw or suspend studies will forfeit the bursary
-
Students already funded by another official bursary do not qualify
-
SANTS employees cannot participate
Selection Process
Recipients will be selected through a random draw from the database of students who meet all requirements.
The final selection is made at the sole discretion of SANTS.
