Bursary Options
KPMG offers two bursary types:
Pure Merit Bursary
- Awarded based only on academic performance
Merit Bursary with Financial Need
- For academically strong students who also require financial assistance
KPMG will determine which bursary you qualify for.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be studying a SAICA-accredited degree
- Be studying full-time
- Complete studies within the minimum required duration (no splitting academic years)
Academic Requirements
To qualify and maintain the bursary, you must achieve:
Matric
- Minimum 4 A’s (excluding Life Orientation)
First Year
- 65% average
- 70% Accounting
Second Year
- 65% average
- 65% Accounting
Third Year
- 60% average
- 60% Accounting
Honours / CTA
- 50% average
- 55% Accounting
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- All required supporting documents during online application
- Academic results and relevant records
Applications without documents will not be considered.

- KPMG decides:
- Which bursary you receive
- The amount awarded
- Whether funding continues each year
- You may be required to:
- Enter into a training contract (learnership) with KPMG
- Begin training after completing your CTA/GDA qualification
