Tshipi e Ntle Manganese Mining is offering Community Bursaries for the 2026 academic year to support talented South African students pursuing scarce and critical mining-related qualifications.

The bursary covers:

  • Full tuition fees

  • Accommodation

  • Laptop

  • Prescribed textbooks

 Engineering & Mining Disciplines

  • Mechanical Engineering (3 positions)

    • BTech / Advanced Diploma / BSc Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current (3 positions)

    • BTech / Advanced Diploma / BSc Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering / Metallurgy (2 positions)

    • BSc or Advanced Diploma

  • Industrial Engineering (1 position)

    • BTech / Advanced Diploma / BSc Engineering

  • Mine Survey (1 position)

    • Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying

 Who Can Apply?

 Matriculants

  • South African citizen aged 18–35

  • Bachelor pass in Matric

  • Must have university acceptance for 2026 in one of the listed fields

  • Not currently receiving another bursary or financial aid

 University Students

  • South African citizen aged 18–35

  • Studying full-time at a South African University or University of Technology

  • Enrolled in one of the approved fields of study

  • Strong academic record (B-symbol average and pass marks)

  • Preference given to 1st-year students

 Required Documents

Applicants must submit:

  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Recent academic record (and previous years where applicable)

  • Matric results or Grade 11 results with university acceptance

  • Proof of current registration (or proof of completed Matric)

  • Certified copy of South African ID

  • Proof of residential address

  • Clearly indicate the field of study applied for

  • Applicants already funded by another organisation will not be considered

  • Incomplete applications may result in disqualification
