About the Capitec Bursary
The Capitec Bursary Programme supports talented South African students who want to pursue studies in fields that are critical to the future of banking and financial services.
The bursary provides financial support, career development opportunities, and workplace readiness training to help students transition successfully from university into the professional world.
Students also gain exposure to the workplace and develop professional skills while studying.
What the Bursary Covers
Successful applicants may receive funding for:

✔ Stipends
Final funding details are confirmed only after successful applicants receive their official bursary award letter.

Important Conditions

The bursary is renewable annually depending on:

Students are not guaranteed funding for the entire duration of their studies.
Work-Back Obligation
Students must work for Capitec after completing their studies for the same number of years they received bursary funding.
Failure to do so may require repayment of the bursary value plus interest.
Disclosure Requirements
If a student:

has undisclosed employment
-
provided false information
the bursary may be cancelled and funds must be repaid.
