 About the Bursary

The Aurora Wind Power Bursary Programme supports Grade 12 learners from designated schools on the West Coast who wish to pursue further studies at public tertiary institutions in South Africa.

The programme is funded by Aurora Wind Power and professionally administered by StudyTrust to ensure fair and transparent selection.

 Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  •  Be a South African citizen

  •  Be from designated schools on the West Coast

  •  Be a Grade 12 learner

  •  Demonstrate strong academic performance

  •  Show financial need

  •  Total household income must not exceed R350 000 per year

  •  Plan to study at a South African public institution (no private institutions)

 What Does the Bursary Cover?

The bursary value is determined individually and may cover:

  • ✔ Tuition fees

  • ✔ Registration fees

  • ✔ Examination fees

  • ✔ Accommodation (residence or equivalent)

  • ✔ Meals

  • ✔ Learning materials (textbooks, stationery, etc.)

 Selection Criteria

Selection is based on:

 Academic Excellence

  • Grade 12 preliminary and/or final results

 Financial Need

  • Proof of insufficient financial resources

  • Household income not exceeding R350 000

 How to Apply

All applications must be completed through the StudyTrust online application platform.

3️⃣ Submit all required supporting documents
4️⃣ Email completed application and documents to:

Only fully completed applications from South African citizens will be considered.

 Closing Date

🗓 Applications open: 01 May
🗓 Applications close: 31 October

Late applications will not be considered.
